FDA: FSVP Compliance Rates Among Importers Low
FDA has released statistics on its inspections of importer compliance with the Foreign Supplier Verification Program Rule. Only 36.7% of importers have received an NAI (No Action Indicated) inspection. FDA found objectionable practices in 63.4% of importers. Please see the chart from FDA below. Note that all of the inspections of firms using our FSVP services resulted in NAI classifications.
AMS Proposes to Stay Reserve Obligation for California Walnuts
This proposed rule would implement a recommendation from the California Walnut Board to stay the reserve obligation and its requirements currently prescribed under the Federal marketing order for walnuts grown in California.
