Founder and Managing Member

Erik R. Lieberman

Erik R. Lieberman launched US Food Imports in 2014 to help U.S. firms meet their international sourcing goals and provide solutions to foreign manufacturers and distributors to access the U.S. market.

Erik is an attorney and licensed customs broker. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Florida and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Formerly, Lieberman led the regulatory affairs division at the Food Marketing Institute. As FMI’s vice president and chief regulatory counsel, Lieberman represented the food retail and wholesale industries before the U.S. Food and Drug Adminstration and U.S. Department of Agriculture. Before joining FMI, Lieberman served as the Majority Regulatory Counsel for the House Small Business Committee. From 2004-2007, he was Director of Government Affairs at the National Grocers Association. Prior to that, he served as a legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Bob Graham.
