FSVP agent services are where we serve as the FSVP agent for your shipments. FSVP program services are where your company serves as the FSVP importer or agent and we write and implement the FSVP program for your company. For example, a foreign company shipping unsold food products to an e-commerce fulfillment facility may use our FSVP agent services whereas a U.S. business importing food it is purchasing from a foreign supplier may use our FSVP program services.

Most FDA-regulated foods are required to have an FSVP importer or agent for entry. There are limited exceptions, including for seafood, alcoholic beverages and 100% juice products. Please see this flowchart from FDA for additional information.

FSVP agent services are for foreign businesses shipping unsold food and dietary supplements to the U.S. For example products a foreign company owns that are to be sold through third-party fulfillment services like Amazon FBA or Shopify.

Outsourced FSVP services are for U.S-based businesses. With outsourced FSVP services you tell us your suppliers and we do the rest.

Yes. Importers that have less than $1 million in sales of human food annually combined with the U.S. market value of human food imported, manufactured, processed, packed, or held without sale are eligible for the very small importer requirements which do not require a written program.
